Evidence-Based Resources
At Elevate Her Wellness, I believe every woman deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered in her mental health journey. I proudly advocate for Black women’s mental health while providing compassionate, inclusive care for women of all backgrounds.
Through an integrative interdisciplinary team approach that combines evidence-based psychiatry with nutrition, lifestyle, medication, mindfulness, and wellness education, I care for the whole woman - helping her to restore balance, build resilience, and elevate her overall emotional well-being.
Nutritional Psychiatry & Mood
Nutritional Psychiatry is an evidence-based field that explores the relationship between nutrition and mental health. At Elevate Her Wellness, I incorporate nutrition education into a whole-woman approach to psychiatric care, helping women understand how eating patterns, lifestyle habits, and overall wellness may influence mood, energy, focus and emotional well-being. When appropriate, I collaborate with registered dieticians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, personalized care.
Ecotherapy (Nature Therapy)
Ecotherapy is an evidence-informed approach that recognizes the potential benefits of nature and outdoor experiences into mental well-being. Activities such as walking, practicing mindfulness in nature, or simply spending intentional time outside may help reduce stress, support mood, and promote emotional well-being. These practices may be incorporated as a part of a personalized, whole-woman approach to psychiatric care.
Lifestyle Psychiatry & Integrative Interventions
Through supportive lifestyle and wellness strategies such as mindfulness, guided breathing, movement, and relaxation practices, I incorporate a whole-woman approach to mental health care. Treatment may also address physical activity, behavioral activation, and healthy habit formation to support emotional well-being, mental clarity, and overall resilience.
